milked pecans



Hey guys,

a lot of people talk to me about plant based milk and how they don't like soymilk. But there are actually many yummy alternatives to soymilk. But with the alternatives there are a couple of problems.

Nut milk is very expensive and actually the amount of nuts inside the milk is very small. And often you can find a lot of sugar in plantbased milk. I like to make my own!

I really love the taste of pecans but you can take every seed or nut you like to make your own milk.  

As I told you in my last post, I wanna quit artificial sugar. But it's not that easy. I tried to stay (artificial/refined) sugar free - and after one day I ate a chocolate dessert. Well - anyways. This recipe is good for your wallet and your health.

You'll need a mixer and a bigger kitchen towel or nutmilk bag.







Recipe for 1 liter of milked pecans


you'll need

3 fresh dates or 2 medjool dates *

1 liter water  

50g - 100g pecans


for sweeter milk: increase the amount of dates



a pinch of cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

fresh fruits 






If your blender isn't that strong, soak your pecans in water for 3 hours.



Pit your dates and add them to the blender along with your pecans, the water and your optional ingredients. Blend.



Stream the milk through a kitchen towel or nutmilk bag into a bottle or a jar. You can keep your milk inside the 
refrigerator for 3 days.
